I was previously a member of the Raw Dairy group, but went through a spell where

I was overwhelmed by the shear number of messages, not just from this group (I

was on Digest), but several groups. I just needed a break and so I unsubscribed

from a bunch of groups.

I'm glad to be back and I'm looking forward to increasing my repertoire of

fermented dairy products. We currently own 3 cowshares. I've done my own

kefir, yogurt and butter. I'd like to figure out what fermented products

(besides yogurt) that I can make with store milk while our cows are dry

(Dec-Mar).

On a non-dairy note, I'm a homeschool mom of 4 and I live in VA. I hope to

have my own farm some day with mini-jerseys, chickens, goats and horses. But

right now I'm settling for my own flock of 'mutt' chickens! We have 12 birds

that are some sort of mix of Mille Fleur, Ameraucana and Light Brahma.
