Guest guest
Surgery went well today. Although it took for ever, he only lost 700 cc's of blood and was given 1000cc's. He also had another 1000cc's before hand to get his levels up and give him that extra boost for surgery. His temp is 99.?, sorry I forgot. Either way, it was 100-101 ther last 2 days, so this is good. He got a piece of metal with 14 screws that goes from the right to the left (good bone to good bone). They stated everything in the middle was smashed. They were able to close the tear in the bladder also. His scar is from right hip to left butt. Tomorrow they will try and get the respirator out, as it will be 6 days and pneumonia is one of the 3 fear factors at this point. Blood clots and infection are the others. We are still not out of the woods, but we are one step closer. Thanks again for all the prayers, cards and kind words. I would rather walk with God in the dark, then to walk alone in the light. athan - He can't sit alone, who wants to. He can't stand alone, who needs to. He can't speak our language, but is more understood than most. He can melt anger with a smile. He can quiet a loud room without speaking. And he can teach every single one of us that the little things are what are important. He is our gift and we are forever grateful. Luggage? GPS? Comic books?
