Guest guest
Hello~ I have never posted on this group before now. I have a 3.5 year old daughter with PDD-NOS. We started seeing a DAN doctor almost a year ago. I was very nervous and I wasn't sure if I bought into the whole DAN approach. After seeing the changes in my daughter I am a firm believer. My daughter went from diahrea 5-6 times per day to normal BM once per day, her speech went from non-existent to 5-6 word sentences, she never, ever slept and now she sleeps through the night, her eye contact is incredible, she finally enjoys interacting with others. I can't tell you what an amazing transformation we have seen. She is by no means " cured " , but I think she's on her way to recovery. I don't know if the approach would work for all children, but it certainly did mine. Our insurance does cover the actual office visits with our doctor, which we have every 6 weeks, but insurance does not cover the supplements or the testing. B-12 injections were also covered through insurance as well as Diflucan. I t can be very expensive, especially when you first get started, and the diet is a nightmare at first, but if your results are anything like ours, it's worth it.
