Guest guest
I started taking Provigil over the Christmas break (I am a teacher) and it has done wonders for me. While I used to become very sleepy in the afternoon, the Provigil has given me more energy, even if it is spurious energy through chemistry. The only problem is that the legal entity closest to la Cosa Nostra in the entire country, the managed care behemoth that carries my health insurance denies coverage because CMT is off-label for the drug. Does anyone know of a clinical trial testing Provigil with CMT patients? I found four studies looking at Provigil to counter fatigue in MS, but none for CMS. I know the neuropathology of CMT is different than MS, but the fatigue is the same. []
Guest guest
And it's a darned expensive drug too. My insurance covers it but it is considered non-formulary so I pay a higher percentage. My out of pocket cost last time I ordered was $266 for 3 months. Before insurance, it was well over $800 for 3 months.
