,

I love the treadmill I do run for 3 minutes total. But that aside I

still love it. I don't know if your using the gym one or not. This is

what I do.

I use the random (interval) program. I set it at 3. mph, incline is

20 (the hardest) and go from there. I don't stay at 3 mph the whole

time, I just use it to warm up for 2 minutes, then it starts going

up, up,up. I ususally top off at 4-4.5 and then go back down with the

speed. I am usually sweating from the third minute thru twenty then

cool down for five more minutes. I used to use the hill profile, but

I found it wasn't cutting it. The change is wonderful and am burning

more calories,going further.

If your a fast paced walker you can really go! Some people run

slower than I walk. I love the fast walk like 5mph. I try to

concentrate on long strides, heel to toe placement and standing up

streight. Like a runner whom I saw, everyone was running with their

heads pointed towards the finish line, he was standing up right. I

loved that. So it looks like no effort! Ha ha..

HOpe this helps, if not you can mail me personally..

I use the treadmill for my cardio- usually do, 5.0, 5.5, 5.5 with

incline of 3, 6.0. I would think that I could stay at 5 and go all

the way up to 10 on the incline- I never really thought about that!

I might do that tomorrow instead of increasing the speed and see what

it does! (I am jogging at that point, but not really fast). I could

see that depending on your level, you could walk fast and press the

incline in increments and get to your 10!

Is it just that I've got short legs or what? LOL

At 4.0 on the treadmill I'm all but jogging. Any faster and I have to start

jogging. Some say they can do a fast walk at 5.0..I would be falling off LOL
