Thyroid testing with g.p.

Hello, has anyone had a thyroid test done with their g.p.? I have had several,

all have come back as 'borderline'. I am convinced my thyroid is out of whack

as i have a lot of symptoms i.e. hair has been falling out since the birth of my

first child, I lost a lot of weight after 1st child and have never put it back

on, am always cold, I shake constantly (more like vibrate really as no-one else

can see it, although I can feel it). Can anyone tell me what the other test the

doctors CAN run but usually don't due to ££, and what they are for. I plan to

return to the g.p. and ask again but would like to know what I'm talking about.
