HiSam, aged 15, being doing biomed for years, has had the most awful gut (?infection or ?virus) on and off for the past month. We had one week where he was vomiting and diarrhoea, really horrendous, explosive liquid, duvets, sheets etc had to go on bonfire it was so bad. Stool sample sent via GP, came back negative!!After 7 days of that and hardly eating (lost nearly a stone in weight) we had to resort to antibiotics (erythromicin 250 mg twice day for 5 days) seemed to have desired effect and Sam much better, normal poos, eating and drinking like a horse, then on christmas eve vomiting and the same horrendous diarrhoea christmas day and again today.Am going to ask GP for more stool specimen pots tomorrow,On probiotics but nothing else at the moment, any ideas gratefully received, getting worried now as he is really not wellthanks Di
Guest guest
Thanks Tracey, think it unlikely food intolerances as Sam has been on same sort of diet for last few years and no problems like this before, plus the diarrhoea is really offensive! sure it is something nasty like clostridia, am going to see if I can get the stool kit from geneva as well as what the NHS do. No temp throughout this illness, he seems to have some good days where he seems fine, does normal looking poos in between then another explosion. thanks for the homeopathic recommendation, will look into that, Di HiSam, aged 15, being doing biomed for years, has had the most awful gut (?infection or ?virus) on and off for the past month. We had one week where he was vomiting and diarrhoea, really horrendous, explosive liquid, duvets, sheets etc had to go on bonfire it was so bad.
