Welcome back !

I did the same thing when I knew we were trying to conceive....tried to make

my body as healthy as possible for the benefit of our baby (I threw my

cigarettes out the car window on the way home from the dr. when I found out I

was pregnant - never smoked again). That alone can be a wonderful source of

motivation.

Here are some other motivation tips that work for me and others on this list.

1. Put your workout clothes out the night before...they'll be staring you

in the face begging to work out!

2. Keep a fitness calendar and jot down which workout you do everyday and

when you don't workout, jot down the dreaded zero. I found it very helpful

this summer.

3. Take your measurements before you start and check them every couple

weeks...nothing more motivating than results!

4. Take a 21 day challenge where you workout everyday for 21 days....this

really makes your workouts a habit (or addiction in my case).

5. Eat healthy! Feed " the machine " with good, wholesome food and your

workouts will be part of your new healthy lifestyle.

6. Read this list as often as possible.......all kinds of support here!

Hope these help....they work for me. Good luck and keep us posted on your

progress.

Caroline, who can't wait to feast tomorrow! Thanksgiving is my favorite

holiday...no expectations....just thanks for what God has given you.

Thanks Caroline! That's another I have to do before February...quit

smoking! The worst part about quiting is how I use food to keep

myself busy.

I must say....since I did my TB this AM, I feel great today. I feel

alive, refreshed, and ready to go, go, go!

I think one of the best tips you gave me is to put our my workout

clothes the night before. I tried the calendar thing, but that

didn't help me out too much!

Thanks for all your tips! Hope you have a wonderful time feasting on

Thanksgiving! I'm going to try my best to have self control!

Glad you're getting back into Tae-Bo again :o)!!!!!!!

I would say to try to focus on what you have

accomplished and how your body is changing. How your

clothes are fitting you, things like that. Tae-Bo has

become such a habit for me, that I don't think twice

about not doing it. It's hard for me NOT to do it. A

few weeks before going back east I was hit by

something and had to take a few days off, that was SO

hard for me. I guess my looking forward to spending

an hour with and the Crew motivates me :o)!!!!

Sandie, Tae and Bo :o)!!!!!!!

Welcome back !

You've already gotten great advice from Caroline and Sandie. My

personal motivation for continuing working out is to maintain what I

have achieved already, because I have worked so dang hard for it! I

also want my child to grow up in an environnement that prones

physical activity, as I am convinced that it can help intellectual

development (by acting as a stress releasor AND a tool for self

discpline).

I think it's also important that when you feel unmotivated because

you are bored with your workouts, shake things up a bit. I've added

other types of workouts to my taebo collection (such as aerobics

tapes, step tapes, weights, yoga).

Good luck!

Ok I confess - I started smoking again earlier this year (yes stupid

I know!) and was struggling to control it, when I read a book " The

Easy Way to Stop Smoking " by Allan Carr, and I haven't smoked since,

that must be a month or so now and I don't even think about it.

So to anyone trying to quit I highly recommend getting yourself a

copy of that book and reading it.

Jill

who is thankfull that is was easy like the book said, and I'm not

substituting anything instead.

Welcome back, ! Your vacation sounds incredible! Just keep thinking

how good you will look in that bathing suit and you will be motivated to

workout! If that's not enough, keep posting here (even daily) and let us

help you along the way. Reading people's posts really motivates me.

I totally agree with Elena. I went off My diet for one day over Thanksgiving,

and for the last 2 days now I have felt sick. I missed 2 days of Taebo, but did

it again tonight. Motivation is hard, but like Elena said Just think of how good

you will look and feel That keeps me going. 90 lbs down now, and I am going to

keep going!

Jill,

Congrats on Giving up smoking. That is a great acomplishment. You have more will

power then I do. But I told myself as soon as I am ready to give that up, I

will. But Good Job, that gives me some motivation to quit. I will look for that

book too. Thanks for the tip, and good job!
