Stance in Olympic Lifts

Greetings group,

When performing Olympic lifts, I've noticed that the horizontal

displacement of my feet is rather large, to a point where my feet are

between 1.5-2x shoulder width. I am still able to get under the bar

into a squat (which is slightly below parallel), but the stance is

wider than that which I would use if I was just doing a squat on its

own. I have been told by a few people that this is a bad thing and

was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how to decrease this

displacement. In case you're wondering, I'm just doing them for

recreational purposes, not training for any specific sport or to

compete, but I'd still like to make corrections to my form wherever

possible.

As always, your input is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Best regards,
