Guest guest
This is , I thought I'd update to on my first day of chemo therapy (CHOP-R)on Friday. It was very scary and and I am glad it is over. The nurse was really nice which helped a lot. They always have trouble finding a good vein with me, but she only had to try once. My parents were there for support. I was as white as a sheet leaving there. I was ther for a couple of hours and it takes about an hour to get home from the BC Cancer Clinic, a bit later I felt vary naucious with vomiting and chills. I could not sleep because of the pounding headache. I tried Tylenol and Anti-nausea pills but kept throwing them up. I slept a bit better in the moring when the headaches subsided. I did get some better sleep today and feel much better. I go in for the Retuximab on Monday and I'm hoping that will go smoother. I am in there for 5 hours while they ease it into my system. I am off my Kineret and most of my other meds besides the Predinisone. My Still's is staying a bay pretty good right now. We will see how the next week goes. Thank you for the ear. I am so happy that you are volunteering that sounds like a very rewarding project! Congratulations! Take care and e-mail any time.
