steroids and general anaesthetic

Hello all

My question is when you have had a general anaesthetic have you had a

booster of extra steroids after. I have been so ill this weekend. I went

into hospital for a shoulder operation which appears to have gone well but I

was discharged on Saturday and before the evening I had such a bad stills

flare that I ended up in A & E of the hospital I am treated at for stills.

Anyway they couldn't think why it had been so sudden but they did say that

if I had a general anaesthetic it could have wiped out everything and I

should have had extra steroids hence the question. Also I had a blood

thinning injection because I was unable to move and they wanted to prevent

blood clots and it appears that I was allergic to that as I developed

another rash as well as the stills which was prickly and really itchy -

anyone had this as well. I am back home again and have to go to hospt. On

Tuesday for a load more tests.

I haven't read any posts for a few days so hope some of you are doing well.
