Guest guest
Has anyone watched/done workouts with this show? I've got it on right now and all the music in this particular episode/practice is driving me completely nuts. Sounds like very fast, not very relaxing chanting with strange music to it. Okay, now they're doing the relaxation pose and the music is MUCH more serene and calm. Anyway, I've never seen it before but there's a voice over instructor (interesting accent to the voice, possibly French but I'm not sure) and a woman in loose fitting white clothes ona white mat (almost looks like a small bear skin rug) and the entire set is white so you can't tell the difference between the floor, walls and ceiling. Very odd. The practice itself is very fast moving, at least this small part of it I caught (last 10 minutes probably). In the bit I saw, the woman is lying on her back and is instructructed to raise one leg, put it down and pause for a beat, raise another, etc. all very quickly. Quite a bit of talk about how this move or that move affects various internal organs (and something about forward bends, I think, and how they affect your aura too). Lots of spiritual talk. At the very end, as the last credits are on the screen and just before it cuts out, the woman doing the movements is seen/heard chanting very loudly (I have no idea what she's saying, it sounded like a single vocalization held for a time). I'm looking for some education here. I've never done kundalini but for some reason I assumed it would be slow moving, flowing and gentle with quiet music that enhances a meditative mood (I guess I associate mediation with quiet too, maybe I'm wrong about that also?). This was fast, kind of jerky movements and the music was, for me anyway, very intrusive and loud. The voice over was gentle but that's about it for gentle from my perspective. The information offered by the voice fit with my idea of kundalini but that was about it. I'm not really looking to get into kundalini right now but am curious at least to know more about it so if someone can tell me what I should expect, if I decide to do it at some point, I'd be interested in knowing more.
