Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I didn't want to do Sculpt 5/6 today - I felt like a change, so I did Sculpt 3/4 from the original P90 system. I like this one! I thought it would be easier than 5/6, but it really wasn't - just different exercises which you can make more difficult/challenging by using heavier weights. Like 5/6 it is set up in a circuit format. The first 3 circuits are similar to 5/6 in that they start with a chest exercise (a push-up variation), move on to a back exercise (usually a row), then shoulders, biceps, triceps and legs. The leg work is done w/out weights, but one can certainly add weights to it. It is mostly lunges and squats. The 4th circuit mixes things up a bit - there is some back extension work, calf work (which I hate!!), some work for the forearms and wrists/grip strength, a max set of push-ups and squats. Overall, I liked it and didn't feel that it was less challenging than 5/6! Good to know, so I can sub it in when I'm burned out on 5/6. The set on 3/4 isn't as attractive and Bobby isn't in 3/4, but I can manage! After this one I did 10 Min Solution Yoga for Beginners w/ Angie . I did 3 of the 5 segments. First segment was "strength", second was "core" and third was "balance and flexibility". I enjoyed all the secctions and felt that I got some good core work in - especially from the first two segments. I hate doing crunches,so doing these types of exercises as much better for me (planks, bird-dogs, and variations!) This one came in a kit w/ a yoga strap. The strap was used for some, but not all, of the exercises and really isn't necessary unless you need it to help w/ your poses. Tomorrow cardio is up - I may do Sweat 3/4 since I'm burning out on Sweat 5/6. I think it is good that next week the rotation changes up to include some new workouts! While it is nice to do the same ones over again for a period of time, I'm ready for more variety. Take care - Donna
