Schools in Dallas area

I would share with the lady that she should avoid the Coppell ISD. They are

getting rid of kids by either disqualifying them, refusing to evaluate based

on RtI first or just making the kids fail so miserable by removing important

services and supports that they parents have no choice but to move or go the

private school route.

And I'm not crazy about Keller should the Ft. Worth area be a consideration.

They believe that they can cure Autism. I have had several families that I

have assisted there all of a sudden have all AU supports and eligibility

yanked out from under their kids because Keller ISD decides they no longer

meet criteria.

We have just this year pulled our son from Coppell ISD after living here for

20+ years and having two older kids go through the entire system here. Our

son is going to The St. School in Carrollton. The website is

I'm not sure that they will take a 4 year old. They are K-12.

Good Morning,

A lady called me asking if I knew of a good school for her son, four years

old, with Autism. She could be moving from Florida and would like to check

out what is available in the Dallas area. Any input anyone has on private or

public schools would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
