I ask because I have thyroid disease and it's well known that thyroid problems can mimic mental illness, like bipolar and other mood swing problems. (I'm taking Synthroid). The last time (10) went to see his psychiatrist, I mentioned it again (that I had thyroid problems), and if 's thyroid should be checked. He said YES (and was puzzled that he missed it the first time that I suggested it, which was months ago).
