Hi Guys,

I just spoke with . She says to thank all of you for your support and

for so eloquently sharing about your experience with ISOP on the comment board.

While it is disappointing not to be in the running for the grant, we will move

on to other things (you were right !!) Due to this competition we now have

a template to work with in submitting other grant proposals to other sources.

As always we will keep moving forward! Things are going well in NY. Can't wait

to hear from the parents when they get home. Casting begins tomorrow. Please

keep and Miss Mehta in your prayers. They are keeping a pretty grueling

schedule for the rest of the week.

Love you guys,

Shellie

I emailed them as well.

It takes all of us to support ISOP... we tried.

I know that will be upset, however, she will graciously move on to

another project. That is the way that she is, always striving for the BEST for

our little ones.

When one door is closed, she's already knocking on another.

Blessings,

and Evan

There is one member of the board who is accepting emails (out of four).

I emailed him and told him how tremendously disappointing it is - that

his group seems to have no set criteria for deciding who is worthy of

voting. I said that the other groups (ie. eyeglasses and birth

control) get other funding, other government and corporate backing. I

mentioned that planned parenthood also has grant writers who devote

their entire job to applying for hundreds of grants.

I suggested that their grants be more supportive of a grass roots

operation, specifically mentioning that this a group of parents and we

are talking about the lives of children, their well-being, that all

our fights and tribulations are just set aside as if they are totally

insignificant.

It may be worth contacting him for a reconsideration.
