Good morning all,

Today is going to be the start of something a little different for me. Up until today I have been taking the van pool to work to save some money. The problem was that I work 8-4 and the van pool hours were 7:30 to 4:30 (they work a 9-8-80 shift which means they get every other Friday off). I ended up waiting 1/2 hour in the morning and 1/2 hour in the afternoon for them. I asked my boss if I could change my hours to comply with the van pool hours but he wouldn't go for it, he said he needs me there on Friday's (which he doesn't really, he just wants to leave early himself or not come in and wants me to cover for him). So I ended up leaving the van pool, which will end up costing me a lot more money, but in a way it could be a good thing. I now have extra time every day to get more stuff done. I figure since I was getting up at 5:00 Am before to get to the van pool, I can still get up at 5:00 and get my workout done and still have plenty of time to get ready for work and check my email (which is what I'm doing now). So today, I got up at 5:00 and did a Petra Kolber core workout from FitTV. This way, I will still get home a little earlier and have time to fix me a nice dinner and maybe even go for a nice walk in the evening (at least for a few more weeks before it gets dark way too early). I just hope my old junker car can hold out. I think it will actually be a good thing though, it feels kind of freeing now in a way. Have a great day everyone.
