Guest guest
Hi! My name is Gene (fidleir@...) -- I'm currently splitting my time between Washington, DC and two different sites in upstate New York. I grew up in Kentucky next to a Holstein dairy and drank raw milk then, but have rarely had access to raw milk (or even thought about it much) since then. I once worked (briefly) as a cheesemonger at Dean & Deluca in town, DC, am currently interning at a farmstead creamery producing raw milk gouda, and have plans to start a small goat dairy with friends. As I understand it, NY allows on site farm sales of raw milk, providing one has the proper certification, etc. Our first four does are expecting kids in March/April. So I'm very interested in finding as much information as possible on raw milk. I'm looking forward to learning all I can from this group. Thanks!Gene
