HF Asperger/ADHD KID and Social behavior

Hi,

I have an almost 11 yr old Asperger ADHD son whose social graces have really

deteriorated. He just doesn't seem to care how offensive he can be. He uses foul

language, calls people names like idiot, jerk etc... inappropriately. He has

forgotten how to eat in a civilized manner. My husband and I cannot get through

to him. Time out in his room ( he hates being sent to his room!) helps for a few

hours then we start all over again. He is currently being evaluated for a

probable mitochondrial dysfunction and a possible immune system dysfunction. He

is hyothyroid and I just found out the manufacturer of his thyroid medicine has

changed their formula and people are having problems with it. Have a call in to

the doc to change medication ( I am on the same and haven't been feeling quite

right either). I don't think it is related to the current behavior but may be

exacerbating it. We also had some issues with cleanliness ( he wasn't using soap

or shampoo in the shower) that seem to have been resolved.

Does anyone know of any kind of social skills classes anywhere near Lake Conroe

to deal with this??? He just doesn't seem to believe Mom and Dad.
