Guest guest
I'm redoing my family planning now that I am aware of my implant illness. I had implants for 3years, major illness was not apparent till the last 2years. I am wondering when would be the soonest to get pregnant after detox and regular working out to remove all the toxins. I don't have a wide window of time to have children but don't want to risk any harm to them. What time after my explant would be best to start a family? Any suggestion is appreciated! thanks,
Guest guest
, That is really just very hard to say. I guess it would depend on how sick you are, how much detoxing you are doing, what kind of abnormal blood work you have, and how healthy you want to be when you do get pregnant. I think if it were me, I would want to make sure I am feeling as good as possible before getting pregnant, and make sure any abnormal blood work was back to normal, or as close to it as possible for a length of time. It's really going to be your call. Of course, the healthier you are, the better it is for your baby, and it appears that healing from implants is a slow, gradual process, so the farther out from explant you are, probably the better it is. At least one year minimum would be my guess. is a great one to ask, since she is expecting! Guest guest
I was also wondering the same thing as I have a 2yr & we want 1 more baby. I've been explanted for almost 6 months (after only having them in 6 months) but I plan to wait a good solid yr if not 1 1/2 yrs after explant to start trying for #2. I want to give my body rest & time to heal & I want to make sure I'm back to feeling 100% of my old self pre-implants. --- In , " mellindahl " <mellindahl@y...> wrote: > > I'm redoing my family planning now that I am aware of my implant > illness. > > I had implants for 3years, major illness was not apparent till the > last 2years. Guest guest
Hi there I am wondering the same thing. I have been explanted for two years almost but am still ill and on a lot of meds. I am 34 so the clock is ticking - I would love to give me 3 year old a sibling but don't want to take any chances with the baby's heath either. My other issue is the meds I take - I couldn't take them during pregnancy, obviously, but I think I may have some issues if I stop my antidepressants as I still have a major issue w/ that and anxiety. Hopefully the good lord will see me fit to get better and off the meds inthe next few years before it is too late. That will be my only hope. good luck!! shari
Guest guest
, I agree with patty At least a year. Also, do you have inflammatory conditions? I would wait and see if those settle down a bit, it may be a good idea . Because inflammatory conditions -like ra or swollen joints are screaming for help and are pointing to some problems that could be larger in the future. That you immune system is reacting, and the chances of rejecting a baby with it, will be heightened. You want your system as calm as possible. How is your thyroid? Energy? Wait and see how you feel 6 months after explant. If still very ill, like with neuro illness, Id wait and do more detoxing! Also, after explant=-get your metals checked... and get those levels down accordingly with supps and detox. Go from there. How old are you? Guest guest
My thyroid is normal I just have fibro and chronic fatigue which I expect to be gone after explant next month *hoping*. I'll be 21 soon, married a year + (Grandmas and Parents pushing for grandchildren) Fertility wise my best timing is between 22-25, after 25 there are big chances of miscarrages and complications. I guess I'll wait 1year and take it from there after getting normal tests. Thanks! > > I'm redoing my family planning now that I am aware of my implant > illness. > > I had implants for 3years, major illness was not apparent till the > last 2years. Guest guest
Colleen, Most women who detox and get healthy can have healthy babies. We have many success stories. Guest guest
Dearest Colleen: Honey, I have a girl here, who has become my very good friend. She had the double-lumen, but she had the implants removed properly...they were in her body for 15 years. Nathalie waited one year before getting pregnant, and she now has a healthy little boy...he is my surrogate grandson. She did not nurse her little boy. Nathalie is working full time for the Government, and the only symptoms that she has are painful feet, fatigue, and she cannot get pregnant again! Many years ago, when she still had the implants in her body, she was very sick. They were ruptured. Her mother and father live close by, and this has helped her to continue to work. I hope that this will help; however, not all women are this lucky. Sending love and hope....Lea ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~``````````````````` pregnancy after explant Hello ladies! This is Colleen McKenzie, I haven't posted in a while. I have a website and I give support to women who contact me so most of the time at my computer now is spent helping them. Now, I need some advice - I've been thinking a lot about having a baby in the next couple of years. I'm aware of the health problems children of implanted mothers can have, but what about women who've been explanted? Can auto-immune illnesses be passed on to children? What about toxins and heavy metals? I've got an appointment with my OB/GYN soon and plan to ask her these questions, but I want the opinion of the women who have been there and done it.Any info you can give me would be greatly appreciated!A brief history of my illness: I got McGhan textured saline implants at age 19. I was very sick and bed-ridden off and on from ages 21-25 while I waited on diagnosis. Found Dr. Shanklin through this group and had my implants and capsules removed in 2003. I got better quickly after explant and my health has been pretty much the same since then - My good days have fatigue and pain. I have "flares" which seem to happen for no reason and last for a few weeks at a time. I've been diagnosed with the usual - Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, etc. I haven't sought the advice of a medical professional for a few years now and I don't take any prescription medicines. I am on Social Security Disability.Thank you for your help!!Love,Colleen McKenzie
