Guest guest
I am a mom of four, ages 7, 5, 3 and 1 yr. (my 5 yr old is the one with autism). I stay at home with them but am starting to feel lately like we are losing out on a lot, especially my oldest one. I have tried so many times to take them all out to do " normal " kid things, but most of the time it turns out to be a disaster. I have been trying to brainstorm and think of creative ways to figure out how to get around this, I know going out anywhere with an autistic child can be difficult in and of itself. I don't have any grandparents or family that are available on a consistent basis. My husband works 2 jobs plus and is gone a lot on the weekends. I guess I am just wondering if any of you know of any good resources or ideas or your personal experience that could help me come up with a solution of how to get us out doing more things together. Thanks so much for your help!
