Guest guest
Good Morning, I'm fairly new to using raw milk, cream, etc. I would like to try my hand at making some homemade yogurt. I know that I can make yogurt using a cooler to keep the yogurt warm but I was wondering if I could keep the jars warm using my crockpot. The only cooler I have is a HUGE cooler. Guest guest
I was doing this last winter when we were wanting more yogurt than my usual method produced. I took a timer that had on-off pegs at 15 minute intervals to control when the crock would get power. I had done a bit of testing of water-jar bath-warming in that crockpot and could figure out how many off-on intervals to setup to keep the water temp in the 98-110*F range which is what seemed to be the temperature that I'd observed in the commercial setup. Seemed to work fine. Your crockpot and water quantities would need to be tested, should be easy. Best of luck.MJ Yogurt in a Crockpot Good Morning, I'm fairly new to using raw milk, cream, etc. I would like to try my hand at making some homemade yogurt.
