If anyone can please tell me if I might have messed up my KT by adding not very

acidic starter to my new and old brew.I did add a bit of vinegar to both brews

out of fear I might develop mold.I'm still unclear on if it is all right to take

starter out of the same brew and add to fresh brews. I do the CB *continuous

brew* But, I am trying a smaller batch brew to see if it ferments any quicker

than 2 months.Any help, or suggestions and advice would be great. Thanks,

Hi ,

I almost always take KT out of the brew that just finished to add as starter to

the next batch. Always works fine for me.

When you CB gets to sour too drink just use the remaining KT as starter for your

next batch. I take some out using the spigot to pour on top of the forming SCOBY

too.

Two months is a very long time to wait for a batch of Kombucha to finish. Mine

usually take 7 days and in the winter our house is not very warm especially at

night. Still done in 7 days though....

Peace, Love and Harmony,

Bev
