Guest guest
I wanted something under an hour, aerobic weight training, challenging but not killer and fun... I got it! I had in my notes that this was a fun workout and that you could go heavy with it so I pulled it out and went as heavy as I was comfortable, which wasn't very because I'm still not where I want to be after taking time off this summer, oh well, I'll get there. Christa Riley leads this one using the old FIRM Box. I used my TransFIRMer. She's very good. She doesn't grab your attention and make you think, wow, she's awesome, but her cueing is very good and her personality is very pleasant. The cardio intervals are mostly pretty simple and the weight work is good although I think there was only one back exercise. My balance was way off again so I was wobbling all over on the lunges and other things using the incline but that was okay. The only exercises I don't like are the lower abs done on the incline. I think it is at least partly that my abs need strengthening but on the incline it puts to much pressure on my lower back so I skipped some of the reps. I was able to do the rest on the incline though. Next time, I'll have to remember to do at least that part of the abs on the floor. The music in this has a Spanish sound to it and was at times a little too relaxing but most of the time it was good. I worked really hard and felt good about what I accomplished. I am leaving in a half hour for the funeral. Really, really don't want to go but of course, I am going anyway. DH will be home from work soon to go with me. After my workout I took a shower with the lights off and a scented candle burning to try and relax me... it was nice but didn't work. I'm nervous about meeting everyone and I still can't believe this is how I'm meeting them and without Sue too. Just gotta get through it... exercise helped though I think.
