**Thank for for warning me about Dr. Lawrence Ginsberg.**

I just wanted to say " Thank you " to all the people who warned me

about Dr. Lawrence Ginsberg here in Houston. He is a joke. He was

literally in the room for less than a minute. He spoke so fast. Both

times my husband and I had something to say he just kept on talking.

He was seriously ignoring our comments. His clinician ( the one who

handles everything) is the only one you can ask anything to. She

collects your child's info then presents it to the Dr. (in another

room) then he comes in for a mintue and says everthing the clinician

already said. The clinicain asked me what I was wanting out of todays

visit. I told her food allergy testing, yeast testing, and if my son

was vit/min. deficent. They gave me a paper for blood work( a total

of ten test) but later that day I looked at the paper to discover no

testing for food allergies or for the vit./min. Why do they even ask

me what testing I wanted. I called back to be told that the 'DAN'

doctor does not believe those test are importance and will not order

them. I then ask if there are heavy metals in his urine does he

chelate. She told me " NO. " He was a waste of time. I sent months

waiting for him, for nothing. I wish to warn future patients of his.

I am not sure which direction we are heading. I plan to go to an

allergist for my son if it is covered on his C.H.I.P.S. insurance. A

Real DAN doctor, I can't afford since most don't take insurance.

Thank you for letting me vent. Janice

Janice,

Sorry to hear about your experience. We need to find a way to take him off

the official DAN list. Does anyone know how to do this?

Dr. Jody Caldwell is in Conroe right outside of Houston. She takes

insurance. Her number is . Her assistant is named Carolyn

Heckel who is extremely knowledgeable too since she has a son on the

spectrum and is treating him too. Carolyn also runs a monthly biomedical

support group in the Conroe.

Dr. Rao in Dallas takes tons of insurance. His number is .

There are options!

Sincerely,

Beth

I just reported this to two of my friends who work for ARI (the

people who compile the DAN! practitioner list). One of them already

responded, saying that she'd forwarded on the complaint to the people

at ARI who take care of that. She didn't know what, if anything,

they would do about it.

For what it's worth, we went through 3 DAN! doctors before being

satisfied now with Dr. Jepson at Thoughtful House. The first two,

like this Dr. Ginsberg, shouldn't have even been on the DAN! list.

The 3rd one was ok and knowledgeable himself, but his office was so

disorganized that they made too many mistakes for my taste.
