Guest guest
My question to Cheyenne and all others so critical of chemical and synthetic nitrogen, how many cattle do you produce each year? How many people do you feed?I use less than 2 pounds of grain per head per day when the temperatures are below 40 degrees F. Just for energy. I manage to finish about 20 head per year on grass and a little feed, my wife and I raise a big garden for ourselves. I use about 45 pounds of N per acre per year and about a pint of 2-4-D. As my pastures mature, I use less each year, local composted poultry manure when I can get it. BTW, until one is also a Nobel te, I would suggest a little less critical attitude.Bill
