We are a Research and Education, 501-c-3 not for profit organization focusing on access and civil rights for people with disabilities.?? Funding is and always has been an issue for organizations serving the needs of people with disabilities, in today's economic climate now more than ever.?? If you would like to collaborate on a specific project -?and we haveseveral to choose from - please contact us ad let us know.??? It merely takes an mou -?a memorandum of understanding - for us to be able to collaborate as?an organization with you.?? If interested, please respond directly to this E-mail address and we can begin this process.?? Thank you. Respectfully, J. Rappaport, President Center For People With Disabilities??? ?? I wanted to clarify something before this gets on a track I certainly didn't intend... ? My original post about the Easter Seals contact, etc ---? is out of a hearfelt desire for collaboration. ? There are enough autism organizations in this Houston Metro area - that we should ALL be working together and collaborating.?? Especially those with funding to do good things.? There should be full collaboration on that for the benefit of all. ? It is just odd that the groups I know of and see everywhere doing things - are those with little money. ? I'm just trying to bridge that gap but can't seem to.... ? We can help so many if we could collaborate and make the best use of all our resources and contacts. ? That was my point... ? Sincerely, M. Guppy My autism journey?isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain....? Texas Autism Advocacy:? www.TexasAutismAdvocacy.org " There are some aspects of a person's life that we have no right to compromise.? We cannot negotiate the size of an institution.? No one should live in one.? We cannot debate who should get an inclusive education.? Everyone should.? We cannot determine who does and who does not get the right to make their own choices and forge their own futures.? All must. "
