He got his shot from the bottom of the vial, after the rest of the family, and I know for a fact that the vial wasn't shaken. I can't remember if the first flu vax he got was from an unshaken vial. It may have been. It was after that second shot though that he began his real decline, which we were able to interrupt somewhat with diet, but actually continued for a long while. I've just finished reading the Olmsted and Blaxill book Age of Autism. Much of it outlines the plausibility of the mercury-autism theory. It is depressing reading. They've done a very good job though of exploring the theory and relating it to other theories of the etiology of autism.
