Guest guest
Dear , Welcome to the group . . . However sorry I am so see another women sick from her implants! Here is a link that will help you find our recommended surgeons. /files/ It is important to find a surgeon who will remove your implants " en bloc " and use drains. That means the doctor will remove the capsules with the implants still inside. He/she may drain the implants first, but the will not slit the capsules open to remove the implants, then the capsules. You do not want any contamination from the implants spilling into your chest! The surgery itself isn't exactly rocket science. But it does require a doctor willing to take the extra time to remove them right. Too many doctors remove them poorly, then leave part of the capsule behind. It's likely your implants were contaminated from the outset, or that your body reacted vigorously to the materials the implants are made from. You can have them tested after removal to see if bacteria is present by Dr. Blais. However, he is so backed up, you should start working on detoxing now rather than waiting. If you have any questions (and I'm sure you will), ask away! . . . We have a wonderful group of women who have been there, done that, and want to help. Hugs and prayers, Rogene

Guest guest
Hi there, I understand how you feel. Read my story, under files, Beth. I only had mine for 11 months. I am just starting to get better. Hang in there? Guest guest
Hi Beth, Thank you so much for your reply. It is so good to here that you are getting better. It makes me feel like there is some hope. I live in MA, about 40 min. from Boston. I would love to be able to find someone in Boston to do my explant, but I know that not many plastic surgeons believe implants make you sick, and not many are capable of doing the en bloc technique. I have seen the name Dr Darrow come up on this sights list and on 2 other explant support sights, but I don't know anything about him. I was hoping to find someone in this support group who has used him. Did you do any kind of detox before your surgery? Also, did you travel to see Dr Kolb or do you live near her? Thanks again, bethlakey <bethlakey@...> wrote: Hi there,I understand how you feel. Read my story, under files, Beth. I only had mine for 11 months. I am just starting to get better. Hang in there? Guest guest
- HI karen Welcome to our group. Your symptoms are extremely common for women sick from implants. You have made a wise decision to have them out. And once you regain your health, tell your physcian that they did indeed make you ill so that he can be better informed in the future. I don't know anything about the surgeon you mentioned, I just wanted to let you know that you are on the right track and don't let anyone convince you otherwise. This group is a great support and we will help you in any way we can! Guest guest
, I don't remember who used Dr. Darrow, but if he's on our list, he is certainly worth considering. We don't list doctors without a good reason. Give him a call and see what you think. I wouldn't think of posting my doctor, and neither would Patty, even though we think they did good jobs. We just don't feel right about them. Hugs, Rogene
Guest guest
Hi Kathy, Thanks so much for your support. It is comforting to know that there are people out there that understand a believe me, God knows my Doctors don't. I just want these things out the sooner the better, but I feel like it is going to be next to impossible to find a plastic surgeon who will believe implants are making me ill. But at the same time I need to find someone to remove them properly. This is so frustrating! Thanks again, mikat828 <mikat828@...> wrote: -HI karenWelcome to our group. Guest guest
- Dear I would say that the overwhelming majority of ladies here did not have their doctors believe them. It is so frustrating and depressing to not have doctors believe that your implants are making you ill, or for that matter, not to belive that you are ill in the first place. many many people are just told that it is stress, etc. I have faith that you will find a doctor that will do a good job for you and remove them properly. Any chance you can see Dr. feng in cleveland? Hang in there...we are here for you. hugs, kathy -- In , G <karengup@y...> wrote: > Hi Kathy, > Thanks so much for your support.
