Guest guest
Like Alison, I developed major back pain not long after Stills knocked the snot out of me, and I eventually wound up with a morphine pump implant for the pain as it became so severe that I could not move without being " jolted " with excruciating pain. I couldn't walk, sit or enjoy anything. It was one of the absolute worst parts of my life to date. Like you, I also had insatiable itching for about 2 years after getting Stills. No one knows what caused it, and no one ever found anything to justify it, but not one Dr. I saw would say that it was from Stills, either. The itching would happen mainly at night (but not limited to) and could be so bad that I'd literally rip into my skin in various places, with one of the " places " being somewhere that baseball players are noted to " scratch " themselves at times.......too bad it wasn't funny. I once ripped my back up pretty horribly by rubbing it hard (w/o a shirt) against a rough tree.....the pain felt better than the itching. The only things that would even take the edge off of it were Benedryl & Valium, but neither nor both at once would stop it totally. I do agree that you should see your Dr. before jumping to any conclusions, and if that doesn't work maybe a Dermatologist. Best of luck, and do yourself a big favor, don't do what I did! The suffering afterwards of scratching to death was just about as bad as the itching! Especially in " sensitive " areas. Kirk. > > - I have back pain. Guest guest
Hi , I also get intense itching when I have a rash it almost puts me over the edge to. One thing that helped me was Aveno baths. Sometimes I take 2 or 3 a day! I also have new itching---haven't changed medication or anything else---and the itching is about to drive me insane (a short trip some days!!!!). I keep a flushed type rash on my chest, but this is a deep burning and itching that is not relieved by anything. IL --------------------------------- Get easy, one-click access to your favorites.
