Guest guest
No, Gayle. I just stopped taking the shots. My new Primary care dr. here said that GA and TN would have the same allergens. He did tell me that if I needed something he would prescribe something for me. I couldn't get my allergy syrum anymore after August as I had not been to my GA. ENT dr. in a year. And, I didn't want to start with another ENT dr. here. Also, I was afraid that taking allergy shots and taking Pegasys shots would get me all mixed up and I wanted to simplify things during tx. I'm thinking my ENT dr. in GA was stringing me along. I just don't think I needed the shots. Hugs, VGGayle wrote: That's a big step to stop your allergy shots. He prescribed naproxen for my arthritis 3 years ago which I never took because I knew I had liver problems.I never regularly went to doctors until recently either and I broke down and cried yesterday just from having to deal with them and insurance.Waaa... I'm over it. lolMy Mom is 72 years old and up until 2 years ago mowed her 1.5 acres with a push mower and still doesn't take any meds. However age is creeping up on her and now I have to make her go when something's bothering her.Gee, I wonder where I get my bull headed stubborness from? lolGayle>> You're right about that, Gayle. Since leaving GA, I've learned that some of the things they had me on were totally unnecessary (spelling). I've stopped my allergy shots and haven't had any problems with it since. And I've learned that my ear, nose and throat dr. strung me along also. They are in the money game and will recommend anything that will keep you coming back to pay that co-pay and keep the drug companies paying that kickback for prescribing their meds. The problem is, sometimes it's hard to know when the problem is real and when it's not because of the finess in which the dr's present it to you. No, I do not trust dr's too much. I am very leary. That's why I stayed away from drs until the last 10 years. Hugs, VG> Take the Internet to Go: Yahoo!Go puts the Internet in your pocket: mail, news, photos more. Guest guest
Yes, Tim. You are right. There are better drs out there. My hubby had a heart dr. in GA that was a great dr. But I didn't like him cause his bed-side manner was so arrogant. The dr. sure makes the difference. I hope you told your dr. that it could have been a lot of places, one being from transfusions in the hospital. Our trust in procedures in the hospital open us up for a lot of things. That should bring him down a notch.
