Ok, Gayle. Thank you for your answer. I forgot about the nurse's line. I forgot to sign up for it, but will give them a call. Maybe I should have more facts first, though. I finally talked to my dr's nurse today. It looks like it will be Wednesday before I hear if my Ambien will be replace or if my dr. will prescribe something to go along with it. I hope he changes the sleepaid and doesn't decide to prescribe an anti-depressant. Other than using Ambien, I have not had depression as of yet. Maybe later, but now I don't need the antidepressant. I got my list of labs from there, but didn't see how to do the graph. I may try again tonight when I go in to get that number. Yes, I am on Pegasys and Ribavirin. So, they should be willing to answer my questions. Again, thanks. Hugs. VGGayle wrote: By all means if you don't need an anti-d don't let him talk you into it! graph thing to keep track of your progress which I think is pretty cool. I haven't gotten to check it out yet as I don't have a second round of labs to enter but I will. I'm due for blood work around the 5th then have an appointment with "Dr. Yummy" on the 11th. hehehe...Dr, Yummy.... Good call on that one by the way. lolI don't think you have to register with Pegassist to get that number, it's right on their home page. ;-)Gayle> >> > I have to go for a diagnostic on the 4th. of next month. You're right about that, Gayle. Since leaving GA, I've learned that some of the things they had me on were totally unnecessary (spelling). I've stopped my allergy shots and haven't had any problems with it since. And I've learned that my ear, nose and throat dr. strung me along also. They are in the money game and will recommend anything that will keep you coming back to pay that co-pay and keep the drug companies paying that kickback for prescribing their meds. The problem is, sometimes it's hard to know when the problem is real and when it's not because of the finess in which the dr's present it to you. No, I do not trust dr's too much. I am very leary. That's why I stayed away from drs until the last 10 years. Gayle, I've got RLS & none of the meds work for me. Believe me, it's real & driving me crazy & has been for years. Don't dismiss something out of hand just because it doesn't affect you. I'd say your M I L should take all her meds to her primary care doc & seee just exactly what she needs & doesn't need. Some drugs can have very dangerous interactions. Then again, she may be one of those people who want to spend their lives in a legally drugged out state - her choice. Gayle, I should have mentioned, Deb has faith in the medical profession for one very good reason - if it weren't for them she wouldn't be with us right now! They've saved her life more than once & I for one am exceedingly grateful to them for that alone. SuZie > Dr's are just not throwing us rx's of anti-d's to make us feel

Re: Hi, all. I need some advice,

please

Oh no doubt about it, doctors are a good thing and I'm more than

amazed at the things modern medicine and technology can do. I'm not

saying I'm anti-doctor or anti-med, but I feel that some people

(unwisely) take everything their doctor says to heart without using

their own god given common sense.

Of course there are those like my MIL who were born with no sense at

all, but I won't go into that. lol

Is there such a thing as ADD and hyperactivity. Yes, I've seen it

first hand. RLS? I'm sure there is. The problem is now that there's a

drug for it millions of people who didn't have it before suddenly

will and like Tim said it's all about the kickbacks and return

patients for a lot of doctors.

Anyway I think we should let this go. It's really more about personal

choice and opinion and that's something no one should argue about

since we all have that right. ;-)

I'm glad Deb's here too and if she and I bump heads it's probably

because we're both strongly committed to our beliefs and that can't

be a bad thing. If you don't stand by your beliefs and personal

choices then you're just another sheep in the herd. ;-)

Gayle

I can not tell you how many times doctors have saved my life

before this came on me. Broken Neck,Broken back, broken Shoulder

compound fracture of my right ankle,Multiple compound fractures of

left knee,Femur,Tibia and nerve damage to from the calf down no they cant

do eveything you still need the good Lord .

Regards

Bill
