Guest guest
Hi Everyone, Today was Power Fit Total Body Express (or something like that!) It is from the 2-pack that includes cardio kick. I liked this one, did my usual modifications - and for exercises that included lateral flies or frontal raises I switched to dumbells. The band doesn't allow me enough range of motion for those exercises - unless I use a long band, in which case I also don't feel there is enough resistance. So, for a couple of the PowerFITs I like to keep a set of weights around. Next up with Austin's 3 week bootcamp - I did the faux kettlebell routine on this one - which I really like! I thinks she did a good job with this one. I'm sure it isn't true kbell work, but for me it was a nice change from "traditional" strength exercises. It also got my HR up a bit. Finally, it was back to w/ Core Express from PowerFit Harmony - good blend of exercises, I really like the standing work she does for balance with the band. I think I'll finish up my PowerFIT rotation next week, sort of perfect timing since October starts! I was thinking of doing P90 Masters after this, and doing the "standard" program - which I found in my e-mail subfolder. The first three weeks alternate Scuplt 5/6 and Cardio 5/6 every day with one rest day- I am not sure my exercises ADD can handle that - so my plan is to modify those weeks by doing Sculpt 5/6 and Cardio 5/6 for 4 days (so twice each), then throw in 2 days of something else, and one rest day. I also think I'll switch up between using bands and weights to keep things interesting. I'm one of the odd people who actually likes Tony - so I think I can handle this! I don't have Plyo Legs or Upper, Middle, Lower, so when those come up in the rotation I will have to make some subs. Thinking for Plyo Legs I can sub in both of the Power Half Hour workouts that work on legs and butt. For Upper, Middle, Lower I can probably throw in Core Synergistics from P90X, or try to find another total body workout that is mostly body weight (which I think is what UML is). Take care everyone!Donna
