Guest guest
Hi Bev, you are right! It is not a " vs " but several " and " Kombucha and Water kefir and Milk Kefir and Yogurt and Kimchi and Sauerkrut and Piima and ... Science also point toward diversification of the probiotics one takes. The micro-organism in Kombucha and Kefir are very different .. Moreover the chemistry of Kombucha and Kefir are different. Kombucha seems to have a lot of beneficial acids and kefir not as much but Kefir seems to have much more micro-organisms than Kombucha .. The best is to take them both if one can .. More ways to keep yourself out of dysbiosis (imbalance of the intestinal flora) which leads to all kind of disease ... The more of those fermented-probiotics rich foods, one ingests the better one's health becomes .. .. > ** > > > Hi EveryOne, > > Noticed the subject Kombucha vs Kefir and it reminds me of the way we tend > to divide things up and oppose one while accepting the other. Guest guest
Wow. I used the word 'vs' because I was looking for a comparative list of the benefits of one verses the other. It is a perfectly acceptable English word and doesn't mean I don't accept either one. In fact, my kefir grains will be here any day. I was trying to decide if I wanted to add kefir or not, so it wasn't an 'and' issue at the time. Thanks for making me feel so unwelcome. Guess this group has changed since I use to be active here. > > Hi EveryOne, > > Noticed the subject Kombucha vs Kefir and it reminds me of the way we tend to divide things up and oppose one while accepting the other. Guest guest
Thanks, Joyce. However, if people had bothered to READ my post, rather than attack the subject line, they would have seen that I clearly stated: " should I just stick to my K-tea and not worry about kefir? ... I will NEVER switch. Just wondering if supplementing with kefir will give added benefits. " > > Please know that we are eager to learn and to help as much as possible.
