Guest guest
, If you dont mind me asking how did you know you had sepsis (staph aurea) in the joints? I always like to know what to look out for. Thanks so much for the information! Mandi Florida In a message dated 4/10/2008 4:14:36 P.M. Prior to that I had been on Enbrel and Remicade, usually in a cocktail with MTX and Prednisone in some combination. I always take Arava as well. On Kineret, I was able to stop both MTX and Prednisone at times. I felt pretty good, but I did have my share of infections. Sepsis Sucks. Staph Aurea to be exact. Twice in two different joints. Anyway, my insurance increased my monthly copay to $500 per month about this time last year, so I had to change to a different drug. Now I get around the copay thing by getting infusion medications. I am currently on Rituxan infusions, but still on 15mg of prednisone with it, so I may have done better on Kineret. However, and this is a BIG however, I have not had an infection in the last six months like I constantly did on Kineret. Please remember: There are pros and cons with every medicine, and they change with each person. Just because one thing works for one person doesn't mean it will for another or vice versa. Hope you get your questions answered this time.
