Guest guest
Hi Vicky I think I would be inclined to prepare for the whole year, submit the full years amount and then show in a separate sheet how this is apportioned month by month.. and then they can do the sums for the period that they want... that way you have the year covered off and if they want to fund it three months at a time that is fine too. Tracey -----Original Message-----I think this is illegal but not sure what to do.We have AR in Jan and the LEA have told us to prepare figures for home programme for 3 month period Feb -Apr, this is what we have been doing since last April. Solicitor told me last time that provision that doesn't cover a full year is illegal for statementing purposes and to have anything less will deny the right to appeal.Thing is they have been giving the funding at each programme review and it may be more about precedents than anything else as 's provision is unusual to say the least but then again they may be trying to just fit this one in with the intention of April being the end of funding and no recourse to tribunal. The other thing is with all these cuts it may be that 3 month reviews and funding requests are more palatable than a full year and easier to satisfy the panel.Any thoughts anyone?Vicky

Guest guest
Because its not LEA maintained provision its has to go to what they call OUT COUNTY PANEL, Sam has to go there because his school is independant, so its IN the county but OUT OF county provision Mandi x Thanks Tracey but what I'm being told is that the new funding panel are not education specific, apparently it goes to education funding and then onto County funding, it helps if the first panel agree but doesn't guarantee anything. Anyway the entire year seems to be the problem hence them asking for 3 monthly reviews and funding, just think if I dig my heels in we could end up with nothing, maybe I'll just go with both costings and play it by ear, difficult times now with all the cuts. They have only been agreeing the times as 3 months, crazy thing is the amount seems to be totally irrelevent. I have a lower figure for a year than we have submitted for 3 months in the past!
