Guest guest Posted August 8, 2007 Report Share Posted August 8, 2007 Another unsuccessful attempt to remove the breathing tube, so still in drug induced coma. He also had another transfusion today, and is still running a low grade fever. Tomorrow we are doing surgery to repair the broken pelvis and hip, close ruptured bladder, and doing a second repair on his Right wrist. They believe we can stop the internal bleeding by repairing the hip/pelvis. Unsure why the 2nd repair ont eh wrist. Will give another transfusion before surgery to give him an extra boost of health. Then, if all goes well tomorrow, the will leave him in the coma for one more day and then feel we should be able to pull the breathing tube and wake him up. So, if all goes well, he will be talkable by Friday afternoon. Thank you all for the prayers. Please forgive the one e-mail to all, but Mike is still not able to even speak with Doug about this, let alone speaking with everyone. Mike and Dawn put on good fronts, but are tired and stressed.
