Guest guest
Hay Kirk et al! Depression is " usual " in people with chronic diseases. We deal with pain day to day! It wears us down, emotionally and physically. Firstly, I am feeling better. BUT, there was a time, not long ago, when I was in a black hole of depression. My living accommodation had a great deal to do with it. However, I saw a " shrink " and she put me on Effexor several years ago, and I am now tapering off! Most people require an anti-depressant of some kind to lift one out of the black hole to a grey one then to a white one! Today, the sun is shining, and I managed to take Jakers for a short walk. I feel great " today " ...I have to get up in the morning thinking that I'll make it through today. " One day at a time doesn't only apply to AA " For me, things have gotten better, but without meds I'd still be in a fetal position, thinking of ways to eliminate myself..... I have a doc that is magic with mood disorders, and the drugs to combat it.. When and if we find out how to control the pain and fatigue, the depression will, hopefully lift, until then we use drugs..in copious amounts if necessary!!! lol Please take care Kirk, and the others who suffer from depression as well....it's a tough row to hoe!!
