Guest guest
Just wanted to let all the parents that go to Erie for casts that effective this past Thursday. The doctors have decided to no longer put the moleskin petals around the bottom of the cast then covered with waterproof tape. (?)(the cast queen) said that they were holding in moisture and causing sores on some of the kids coming into the clinic. We voiced our concern that without the petals there is no padding what-so-ever. ended up putting some cotton, like they use under the plaster, folded in half around the bottom of the cast then applied the waterproof tape. We are happy with that but I don't understand what the difference is. Anyways just wanted everyone to know about the change. ~ Mother to Ethan (12 months) Infantile Scoli Chastain (5 years) Downs Syndrome a (8 years) Very Bright
