Guest guest
Thanks " snarky_harpy " . Now that is very interesting ... I believe either MOV or scobies would work. Sure, it needs threaded seams at tough strain spots like the shoulders .. but what the hey! I KNOW it would work otherwise from when I was placing scobies and/or MOV over a draining cyst (probably MRSA infected later) .. anyway, it would be almost leather-like after approx. 24 hours .. and would sop up the drainage. Doc didn't know about using them for such use .. later told me I should " patent " it ... well, couldn't simply because it is an old customary application. Never thought of dying it for clothes tho... the natural dried color as in website pic reminds me of sheer, sheer, native " brain-tanned " deerskin for looks. The different shades would reflect that natural look too as well as, here, probably smaller " patches " of material. As most of us know the scobies take their " shades " from the types of teas, strength, length of brew etc. to give that wonderful look! No, wait, that's not entirely accurate. She'll need at least a couple of bathtubs, some yeast, a pinch of bacteria, and several cups of sweetened green tea. Lee, who is a senior research fellow at the School of Fashion & Textiles at Central Saint s in London, is the brains (and brawn) behind BioCouture, an experiment in growing garments from the same microbes that ferment the tasty caffeinated beverage.
