Guest guest
Norman Borlaug said it? It must be true! LOL!! Spare me. He doesn't have a clue.I don't put my faith in Monsanto shills and what they puke out. Besides, his green revolution didn't do so well with the soil degradation (there isn't much left in many areas-thanks Norman), water pollution (thanks Norman), and destruction of the small farms and communities that were the life blood of this nation (thanks Norman). The food it produced is empty nutrition, and how much cancer and other maladies did it create? How many people has Borlaug murdered with his lunacy?. The sick part of it is that I have some ag textbooks from the 50's that were promoting pasture (even for pigs), good rotations, building fertility, etc. All of that common sense went by the wayside with the stupidity Borlaug and his war industry poison minions promoted. Funny, how those that promoted death and ways to kill people suddenly care so much about human life. Not buying it. First it was war poisons and artificial nitrogen that would save us. That fell flat on it's face, so now it's GMO seeds. What's next, Moon dust?? Does it ever occur to you to work with what God gave us instead of trying to beat nature into submission? Africa needs good farming/grazing practices, not GMO and toxic poison. They also need the will to do it. I just talked to my Mennonite neighbor that spent 3 weeks in Africa visiting his son who has been there for a year. He said the biggest problem is no desire to do anything and booze. He didn't go to the public fool system, so didn't learn how to be PC. He just speaks the simple truth. Still, there are men like Ian -Innes from Africa that are turning desert into good grazing land with cattle. That is progress!!! No GMO, no poison, just common sense. Good grazing management and food crops rotated into the mix will produce so much food we wouldn't know what to do with it all. Just think, Chad has quadrupled production on his ranch in the Sandhills of NE. What if every ranch did the same? How much beef would that be? Now multiply that state after state, including the " corn belt " which can be planted back into prairie to raise even more animals. Now, plant potatoes, wheat, veggies, etc. in rotation by tilling up a good sod to produce our other food. No need for garbage N, No need for poisons, you get the picture, well some folks will. So, now we no longer need garbage nitrogen, or any poison. No need for all the corn, feedlots, fuel to truck everything back and forth fourteen times, the list goes on and on. Monsanto and their ilk can disappear into the sad trash bin of history. This is exciting! University/Extension can disappear too, since they serve no real purpose any more. God has given us the knowledge out in the country side from folks that actually WORK with His creation for a living. I still choose LIFE, HEALTH, VITALITY, and FREEDOM for all.
