Well I can't, so I'll take the post office anyday. If the package is something that has to get there overnight or I'll lose business, then I might make a different choice, but as an individual for every day matters, thank you for the US Postal Service.

Personally I drop my mail off due to identity theft issues. So door to door service really does not work for me. I've had mail forwarded for several months and it amazes me how they could cancel it without my authorization, not forward things went it was up and running and not answer questions over the phone at a federal, state or local level. Even when I could verify my identity. There are a few postal workers that are good but a good majority are typical government employees.

In the first few years of the HCR act you may not have to but they will phase out choice and premium plans over a ten year period. You may want to start reading the bill. Pretty scary.

That is incorrect information. Those that have insurance will lose their insurance and be forced to go through the Post Office. A violation of our Constitution! We definitely need to revise the current system but not like this. It takes away to many freedoms, Freedoms that allow us to even get care for our children!!

Also, we are misled that this HC plan will even help the Uninsured. Individuals with disabilities will not receive care (they will be put on the bottom of the list – they are considered unproductive to society). On AutismSpeaks site gives horrific applause to this HC plan because they ADDED an amendment. Why would they need an amendment if they truly wanted everyone covered? Moreover, the amendment is for Behavioral Treatment which will only cover drugging our children. Maybe, just maybe they will cover ABA – however, what about us who choose not to use ABA.

I have found something that works even better than ABA for my child.. ABA is great, but not for everyone.

The bottom line… in order to help individuals will disabilities we need to get more funding. Funding that is going to illegal immigrants. Right now the CLASS waiting list is about 10 years out. That is ridiculous; however, I know the system teaches illegals how to get American funds. I have personally been to these meetings. We need to shoot down the HC plan, and revise our current system to make it affordable to everyone that WANTS insurance.

We can get there without trampling on Constitutional Rights!

Well, I am glad you can be calm. However, I cannot. I have read through the HC plan.. I did not solely rely on specifics pointed out. However, I did give credit to physicians or attorneys that went through the plan and explained it in laymen’s terms. I am like you and have private insurance, specifically HMO. They do not pay a lot of things, however, at least we have the choice; and we can shop around. With the HC plan that is being proposed there will be no shopping around. In addition, all the

physicians/dentists that actually started to think outside the box due to our children's illness will be SHUT DOWN!

You are right there are many problems with this bill. So why the RUSH! The current system will not go away tomorrow. We can slowly modify the current system without bankrupting the country or trampling over individual’s Constitutional Rights. Why does the Government need to have direct access to MY bank accounts OR all my families medical information?

Any HC plan that mandates vaccines (the actual cause of my son's autism) is wrong (especially if they want to make home visits). Moreover, this plan will NOT cover our children!

I was complacent once about giving my son vaccinations without researching them when he was a baby. I WILL LET HIM DOWN AND DO IT AGAIN! I have worked hard for 10 years to pull him out of that deep dark place and still have a way to go... I am not letting anything get in his way. He deserves the best from me and my husband.

Lastly, my ultimate goal in life is to live as long as I can to take care of my child.. With this HC plan they will do everything possible to hinder this goal. As soon as I have any illness or get to a certain age they will assist me to exit quickly and cheaply. That is not acceptable!! Not in America!!

I am not personally ignoring it but am not going to get hysterical about it, either. We sent out the link to the actual bill last week. You need to read it for yourself and interpret it accordingly. Stop listening to the propaganda - on either political side - and decide for yourself. The next time you get an e-mail citing certain pages and sections, go there yourself and see if you interpret it the same way, or if it is even a direct quote.

Change is difficult, and there are many problems with the bill, but the current system is not working. I am very tired of paying payroll deductions for insurance that does not cover ONE SINGLE THING for my son's autism - not speech, not ABA, not supplements, or special diets, not even DAN! doctors. My husband and I make too much money to qualify for anything but I can't afford to quit my job. Will this reform put an end to that? Probably not but it might provide me more choices for the future, as well as force private insurance to regulate their coverage. I have spent considerable time scanning the document and have not seen anything that scares me yet. I agree I do not know why everyone is ignoring this issue. It affects our children. We have been fighting for these children to get services via insurance, for what. It will all go away with this HealthCare Reform Plan.

AutismSpeaks is also playing politics! They are saying on their website that this is a great plan! Because an amendment has been added “behavioral treatmentâ€. Well Autism is neurological! This HC will pay to drug our children, not treat them! There is no mention for medical treatment. Also, if they even cared about our children they would not NEED an amendment. That is right! Both sides are spineless, and out of touch with the American People. It is time to fire them all! We need to get people in office that actually care about us and our rights. We must all stand up and fight together! Immigration needs to be TOP priority. Once we take care of this issue, then we can afford to start taking care of Americans and their concerns/issues. Rapid change within the first 2-5 years after the act is implemented and mostly likely progressively making it a basic healthcare package over the next 10 years. I do agree on the immigration issue in relation not only to healthcare and education but all as aspects of our society. It's killing us financially. My family are immigrants and went through the process to become citizens I think if you want to live here you should do the same and contribute to the cost of services.

Put the same letter in the smallest Fed Ex envelope, and it is going to cost you a minimum of $10.00.

I have read the majority of the House Bill and find nothing terribly

objectionable when I read things in context. Like the one about access to bank

account. This is talking about automatic withdrawal for monthly insurance

premiums. That happens with my private insurance now. How many people have

their tax refund direct deposited into their bank account? It is the same

thing.

I know this group is awesome about researching information and HC reform is the

exact same as everything else. The more research we do the better informed we

are.

Excellent points. However, you choose to have direct withdrawal/deposit; with this HC there is no choice. In addition, I may feel comfortable with my insurance company having this information does not mean I want the government to have it. Again, a matter of choice. There are no choices with this plan.

Most importantly, I do NOT want mandatory vaccinations.

Excellent points. However, you choose to have direct withdrawal/deposit; with this HC there is no choice. In addition, I may feel comfortable with my insurance company having this information does not mean I want the government to have it. Again, a matter of choice. There are no choices with this plan.

Most importantly, I do NOT want mandatory vaccinations.

I rarely respond to these, but felt the need to respond to this thread. I am including a link that gives a side by side copmparison to all of the bills floating around. I have read the majority of the House Bill and find nothing terribly objectionable when I read things in context. Like the one about access to bank account. This is talking about automatic withdrawal for monthly insurance premiums. That happens with my private insurance now. How many people have their tax refund direct deposited into their bank account? It is the same thing.I know this group is awesome about researching information and HC reform is the exact same as everything else. The more research we do the better informed we
