I may be off, though. Hi , In 's case, I think you can safely discount any bad effect his tasting ladle would have on the brew. Stainless steel is usually safe to use for brewing utensils, although I would never actually brew in any metal, even stainless steel, because we can never be sure what effect PROLONGED contact with the highly acidic KT would have on the metal .... It's good to be careful with metals and plastics.
