Guest guest
, so happy for your great news! Sorry you got a lazy nurse now, but at least it's not the other way round, more lazy nurses than good ones! Hope you continue to recover well. Less pain tomorrow! Sue R ________________________________ To: stillsdisease Sent: Thursday, November 13, 2008 1:04:12 AM Subject: My surgery uodate I have great news, the infection was only in the sub q layers of skin and fascias tissiue and the FAT lol well now im kinda glad Ive got that extra fat padding... lol.. But no bacteria had reached the implant. Im so happy. And the pain isnt as bad as a full thr, its still painful from the cutting, and cleaning all the infection out. Im on a dilaudud drip, which ive havent needed much. the main med helping my pain is the Valium injection through my IV. In 2 days Ive blown 6 veins... ugh Im running out of veins. but I should be able to go home by Sat, and maybe just be on oral antibiotics and not the IV's. Yall dont know how much your prayers meant!!! Ive had great nurses and aided until the one who is here now!!!! Wow, I wont even go into her level of laziness and ignorance, soon though, its unreal. but right now Im so thankful that she can be as rude as she wants. Of course I will report all her rudeness, mistakes lying and others things she managed to do in the first 3 hours of having her to her supervisor, because the things she has done, while not life endangering, were still very uncalled for. Example, refusing to check the correct chart going by pre-op orders and not the newly revised post op med change and saying that I was wrong about the med changes, so I said call the doctor then and she got angry. some people I swear, and her excuse is that she doesnt work this floor, well hello... that's basic nursing. well she had too eat a ton of crow tonight. Because she finally checked the post op orders and then an hour or so later brought the correct meds.... then telling me she needed an order to adjust the flow of the IV? okay what? now nurses plz tell me if Im wrong, but my other two nurses didnt need an order, Im one of those that if you push the vanco too fast, I will get pale, flushed, sick feeling and rapid heartbeat, so they have to run it over a two hour period. she said she couldnt change it without an order. well the others did, and so did the others 10 years ago and so did the others back in 93( geez just realized ive had vanco on 3 different thr;s) anyway Im going to try and get some sleep never did get any last night, Im so curious to see what the cultures grow. Again than yall for being here for me Love Jen

Guest guest
Jen honey, Congratulations! I'm so happy for you that it's not as deep as you thought and holy cow, by the way, good descriptions in your emails. By the way, sorry about the nurse from hell - there's one in every hospital and for some reason I always get them too. Oh, and thanks for making me feel better about my " extra " layer(s) - now I know I'm a little safer from infections (LOL). Take care and be well. Guest guest
3 Cheers for fat........and 3 farts to your nurse. I am so glad that it is no where as bad as it could have been. Recover soon......How are you connecting with your PC in the hospital? Do they have patient WIFI connections or do you have an EVDO card with a cellular connection?
