Morning Ron,

>PLANT FOODS (100 GRAM DRY PORTION)

Is this chart of much value to anyone?

The reason I ask, is ........ does anyone ever eat any ( many ) of these

foods in the dry state?

( a few are eaten dry, and the numbers would be meaningful )

I find the chart misleading and confusing.

Besides, you did not add soy to it. <grin>

By the way, I grow a number of these foods and eat them like they are

going out of style.

Recently, when I visited my favorite health food store, one of the women

there had a number of old books she was trying to sell. No one was buying

them. Because I am preferred customer, she gave them to me. She also

gives me a 20% discount on every item in the story.

Of course I don't have time to read all of them, but I read the table of

contents, the copyright date, and select a chapter or two of interest.

It is interesting to see how things have changed over the years. One of my

oldest books was written in 1927.

The author of one asked, " How does one learn about nutrition " since they

do not teach it in college or medical school. She said that she spent 10

years in the library to learn about nutrition.

This was long ago of course. Now we have dozens of alternative medical

newsletters and the internet. Before the internet, we had FidoNet.

I am trying to collect nutritional analysis of all the foods that I

eat. Anyone can see this effort

and my trailmix recipe at www.fugitt.com/trailmix.htm.
