Guest guest
Hi Thanks for the info. I really want to go on Actemra, but my doctors office won't do it until it is FDA. I had the same initial feelings in regards to FDA approval, but I'm so desperate for something to work now, that I just want to get on it. Oh well, right now, for me patience is a virtue and I wait for the FDA approval, but I've done some research on the drug recently and can tell you it has gone though more clinical trials than others in it's class. I'm not sure why, maybe because it's an IL-6 blocker and it's the first to come out, but I know my doctor has really high hopes for it for me and I do too. So I wouldn't worry too much about the side effects right now. I'm glad it's working for you and I can't wait to get on it. Kineret is what I'm on right now and it stopped working for me a while ago, but we don't know if it is still helping some, so I am staying on it until I get the new drug. Guest guest
Hello It is good to see you post and give hope to those waiting for Actemra. I'm glad you are doing better but wish it were already a remission for you. Thank you for posing though. We miss you. Many blessings for happier days, _____ On Behalf Of Heavin I've been on it for 3 months now. It is a monthly infusion which takes about 3 hours. As everyone has said we all have differant reactions to meds so what works for one person may not for someone else. I hope everyone is able to keep the dragon at bay. I haven't posted much lately just overwhelmed with other things & can't seem to keep up with my e-mail but you are all in my thoughts & prayers. Guest guest
Hi Vivi, I was on a medication called D-Penacillamine also called Cupramine. It put my stills in to remission years ago and worked wonders for me. It was a pill and not a biologic so I do believe you can take it having had TB. Check with your doctor. _____ On Behalf Of Vivigriggs@... Subject: Re: Kineret or Tocilizumab Hi, I'm Vivi. I had TB sa a kid so my RD> won't put me on any injectable!!
