Guest guest
With those of you making toiletries, I just want to say that my most popular lotion was a last-ditch attempt to save two disappointing lotions, with very different formulas, which I didn't want to just toss if I could make at least a body lotion. So I heated them up and poured them both into my chilly bowl and started whisking them. It was very creamy and smooth, felt really nice, and the people who sampled it for me raved. One woman put it on her eczemic child and said it worked wonders. So when someone wants something especially fine or for severely dry skin, I make that up for them. I love playing with new ideas, and mistakes (crumbly bath bombs made for nice mixes for bath powders) and I have come up with some doozies that way. One's a bath oil/cleanser/shaving lotion, and it's very pretty in the bottle Another was putting pouring my lotion bar into a deodorant container (years ago) back when everyone was trying to figure out how to keep them from melting, and that worked well and encouraged me to make deodorants. Sometimes soap failures aren't really workable, but other than the coffee soap debacle, I've been able to at least grind them into laundry soap or soap powders for gardeners, artists, etc. Shucky 8-) +
