Guest guest
Misty, no, we only have to have a set of x-rays taken locally and then sent to Dr. . Works for me! Geneva's mom, I wasn't scared to travel in the plane, just scared to throw up!!! It's a little bit weird because it's so small, I suppose, but I was completely fine with it (we even went over lake Erie for quite a while). But I haven't been on a lage plane since I was 4 years old, so I can't really compare the two. I can say that it is VERY much more convenient and easy than going to a big airport and having to check your bags in and everything. It was awesome! The majority of the 45 minute ride was very smooth (we were " between cloud layers " ). It was mostly going up and coming down that got bumpy, but that could have been the weather, too (it was raining). It will be fine...you will do great, and it will be very quick and easy! Just relax the best you can...maybe try to rest or read something... ~ , 's mom
Guest guest
Hi , That is such great news about your daughter! My situation was similar... we took Josie to Shriners in Chicago and they were fabulous! Her spine was 27 degree with 0 rotation. They too said that she should fix on her own and to come back in two months. We were so happy!! as ofcourse you are! Did you still take her to get a mri? we haven't and they think she is fine...but wondering if I should. Did they give you excercises to do for her? Dr. Mehta showed us a few... maybe its helping? Our daughter is 4 mos now...how old is ? She is so cute in the pictures! Congrats and let us know. Sincerely, Reagan and Josie > > > Our appointment was yesterday at 3:00. Guest guest
Hi Reagan! That's also wonderful news about Josie! just turned 12 months (2 days before we went to Erie, actually!). We had an MRI done about a month and a half ago, which showed no spinal cord problems. That was necessary before she was to be casted. We haven't been doing any special exercises, but her curve is continuing to straighten (45 degree curve at 9 months old, 27 degree curve at 10.5 months old, 21 degree curve at 12 months). We are very excited! My pastor has asked me to do a testimony at church this Sunday on divine healing. I hope it gives others hope! Best of luck to you and little Josie! ~ , 's mom
Guest guest
Hi , WOW that is so exciting. I too believe in divine healing. I have never been too religious, but ...when things like this happen you have to have faith. I too believe that prayers can work! I can not believe she healed from such a curve, that is so wonderful. Please keep me posted. I guess we should not worry about an mri if Dr. Mehta didn't see any concern. I knew as a mother that my daughter was curved, but I have always felt there are no other issues! I wonder why one does get scoliosis? Your other boys are fine so ...? I know they do not know, my belief is its the shape of ones uterus. I never got too big in the stomach... well, I did gain 35 lbs but nobody ever said I looked 9 months pregnant. She was 6lbs at birth... also nobody said anything about it in ultrasounds. As far as excercise... Dr. Mehta told us to lay her on our leg sideways (on the curved side) and put pressure on her pelvis. This is confusing to explain, but we do this about 7 times a day. She is not in pain from it but fusses. ...however, if you distract her first she would sit there all day. It looks like you doing no excercise is still really working! Keep me posted. I am really happy for you. I will everyone update at Josies Oct. 12 th appointment. Thanks for writing back! Reagan and Josie PS: I use to live in Roswell, Ga...where are you? I am in Florida now. -- In infantile_scoliosis , " " wrote: > > Hi Reagan! That's also wonderful news about Josie! > > just turned 12 months (2 days before we went to Erie, > actually!).
