Why is store bought Kombucha not as good as homebrew?

Dear One,

I think it is because store-bought KT is often lactic-acid based.

Our old ancient Kombucha cultures are usually acetic-acid based.

They produce more visible results, particularly in the elderly. Seem to take our

bodies back in time.

Our white hair turns back to grey again. My son grey hair turned brown again.

Even my personal hair.

I think that Dr. Sklenar's is an exception.

It may be acetic-acid based and not pasteurized.

Yesterday, I found a very, tiny baby culture in the Dr. Sklenar's bottle that my

daughter sent me.

I put it into a mixture of tea and sugar and hope I can get one of his cultures

to produce a scoby. It's not likely. I tried it once before and it didn't work.

Blessings on you all. LOve MArge.
