I'm thinking this is not a good idea, but I don't know which to be more concerned about; the dough starter or the kt? I moved her container (I have to say, I felt a bit offended!), but just to another shelf. What do you all think? IMO, this is nothing to worry about-these are all natural microorganism floating around (even in the air). I have been brewing all sorts of things, Kombucha and Kefir and also used to do sour dough and the ferments were there sitting side by side happily doing theri thing! The Kombucha always tasted like Kombucha, the Kefir like Kefir, and, well, the sour dough is mostly wild anyway. Personally I would not worry about it at all. Well, I do tend to look upon these things on the whole positively. yeastily-beastily-bacterially (only good ones that is!)
